Don’t recognise me, it’s creepy

Omnichannel personalisation company RichRelevance has released the findings of its second annual ‘Creepy or Cool’ survey. 1,000 American consumers were asked about how they felt towards today’s shopping experiences.

The 2016 results showed that Americans are most open to mobile and digital innovations that allow them to choose and when and how to engage.

In contrast, technologies such as facial recognition — that are used to track and target customers — remain unpopular.
